See you Sendek

Apparently Arizona State would like to get bounced from the NCAA Tournament early every year.

Reports out of Raleigh have North Carolina State's Herb Sendek leaving town for the sun and fun of Tempe. I guess if you can't beat the Devils (Duke) you should join them (ASU).

So, did Sendek decide to leave the Wolfpack before they booted him out? I actually think Sendek took more heat than he should have at NC State, but the Wolfpack did go down in flames this season, losing five of their last six, including getting knocked from the NCAA Tournament by Texas in the second round.

I don't think he would have been fired this year, but I guess Sendek figured he should get going while the going was good. Or something like that.

Arizona State's vice-president of athletics, Lisa Love, in a press conference announcing the firing of Rob Evans as coach, said, "I believe that we can do more in Wells Fargo Arena in terms of attendance and enthusiasm."

So, I guess she thinks the spread offense and that bubbly personality that Sendek will bring to ASU should fill the seats. Good luck with that.
