Has the ACC lost its nerve when it comes to scheduling football games? John Markon of the (Richmond) Times-Dispatch thinks so.

It is frustrating to see the cupcakes on team's schedules for 2006. At least North Carolina and Georgia Tech had the guts to play Notre Dame. Miami is at Louisville. We might give them a pass, except the Canes also play Florida A&M and Florida International.

Virginia fans might point to the game against Pittsburgh. OK, but don't forget the Panthers had a losing record last year.

Virginia Tech should be embarrassed with its schedule, only scheduling a bunch of weak sisters of the poor is what the Hokies do every year. Even Duke is playing at Alabama and hosting Navy. You'd think the Hokies would show some respect for their program and play someone with a pulse.
