Lute and Herb - two peas in a pod

Herb Sendek is using Lute Olson to justify his jump from the ACC to the Pac 10.

If you remember, Olson left Iowa and the Big 10 for Arizona in the early 80s. So maybe leaving the NC State for Arizona State isn't such a crazy move for Sendek.

Then again, as the story points out, ASU isn't Arizona. For starters, ASU has only been to the NCAA Tournament three times in 25 years and even when they go no one in Tempe cares. There's baseball and football and so much other activity that college basketball isn't all that popular.

We'll see if Sendek can turn that around.
